Respect for intellectual property rights is fundamental to scholarly communication and the open exchange of knowledge. The International Journal on Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology (IJASEIT) is committed to protecting the rights of authors and contributors while ensuring that published content can be freely accessed and reused in line with open-access principles. This policy complies with the COPE Core Practices and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing.
IJASEIT publishes all content under the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, which allows unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium, provided the original author and source are properly credited.
This policy governs the handling of intellectual property in three key areas:
Copyright ownership and licensing
Proper citation and reuse of content
Misconduct related to plagiarism and overlapping publications
IJASEIT recognizes and protects the intellectual contributions of all parties, including authors, peer reviewers, and editors.
Authors retain the copyright of their manuscripts upon publication. By submitting to IJASEIT, authors grant the journal the right to publish, distribute, and archive their work under the CC BY license.
Peer reviewers retain the copyright to their reviews. IJASEIT treats reviews as confidential intellectual property. Reviews are not published or reused without the reviewer’s explicit written consent.
All published articles are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY). This license permits:
Sharing and redistribution in any medium or format
Adaptation, remixing, and transformation for any purpose, including commercial use
Provided that:
Proper credit is given to the original authors and source
A link to the license is included
Indication is made if changes were made to the original content
This license enhances accessibility while ensuring author attribution and the integrity of scholarly records.
Authors may submit manuscripts previously posted as preprints, provided this is disclosed at submission.
IJASEIT considers preprint posting (e.g., on arXiv, bioRxiv) not to constitute prior publication.
Authors must provide a link to the preprint and ensure there is no confusion about the version of record.
Anyone may reuse, distribute, or build upon IJASEIT articles, including for commercial purposes, as long as the original authors and source are credited.
Reuse must not misrepresent the original authors’ findings or conclusions.
Proper attribution must include: article title, author names, journal name, year of publication, and DOI.
Plagiarism, including copying text, data, figures, or ideas without appropriate citation, is strictly prohibited.
IJASEIT uses plagiarism detection software to screen all submissions prior to review.
In confirmed cases, manuscripts will be rejected or retracted, and authors may be subject to sanctions.
Manuscripts must not be submitted concurrently to another journal or previously published elsewhere (excluding legitimate preprints).
Redundant publication—publishing substantially the same work more than once without transparent disclosure—is a form of misconduct and will be handled according to COPE guidelines.
Authors must ensure that all figures, photographs, and graphics included in their manuscripts are either original or used with documented permission.
Images previously published elsewhere must include attribution and copyright status.
Where applicable, authors must clearly state the license terms of any code, software, or datasets used or developed for the research.
Open-source or open-data licensing is encouraged for maximum reuse and reproducibility.
All editorial content, designs, and metadata produced by IJASEIT remain the intellectual property of the journal’s publisher, INSIGHT - Indonesian Society for Knowledge and Human Development.
Unauthorized use of the IJASEIT name, logo, or branded materials is not permitted.
This policy is reviewed annually to ensure alignment with evolving standards in open-access publishing, copyright law, and ethical publication practices.
