The International Journal on Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology (IJASEIT) upholds the highest ethical standards in scholarly publishing, aligning with the principles of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE) and the Principles of Transparency and Best Practice in Scholarly Publishing. This statement defines the ethical responsibilities of all parties involved in the publication process, including authors, editors, peer reviewers, and the publisher, INSIGHT – Indonesian Society for Knowledge and Human Development. We are committed to fostering a fair, transparent, and responsible publication process that ensures academic integrity and the advancement of knowledge.
Publishing in IJASEIT is a critical contribution to scientific progress. Our peer-reviewed articles embody the rigor of the scientific method and reflect the quality of the research conducted by authors and their institutions. Upholding ethical publishing practices ensures trust in the research community and fosters the reliability of the academic record. All participants in the publication process—authors, editors, reviewers, and the publisher—must adhere to these ethical standards.
INSIGHT takes its responsibility as a publisher seriously, ensuring that every article is evaluated impartially and transparently. Commercial activities, including advertising or sponsorship, have no influence on editorial decisions. If necessary, the publisher will facilitate communication with other journals to resolve ethical concerns, such as cases of overlapping submissions or retractions.
The Editor-in-Chief is responsible for deciding which manuscripts are suitable for publication, based on their scientific merit and relevance. Decisions are guided by the journal's editorial policies, reviewers' recommendations, and compliance with legal requirements (e.g., regarding copyright or plagiarism). Editors may consult other editors or reviewers when necessary to reach a decision.
Editors evaluate manuscripts solely on the basis of their intellectual content, without discrimination based on the authors’ race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnicity, citizenship, or political views.
Editors and editorial staff must maintain strict confidentiality regarding submissions. Manuscript details are shared only with individuals directly involved in the review and publication process, including authors, reviewers, and the publisher.
Editors must not use unpublished information disclosed in a manuscript for personal research without the author’s explicit consent. If an editor has a conflict of interest with a submission, they must recuse themselves from the review process.
Reviewers provide critical insights that help editors make informed decisions. Through their constructive feedback, reviewers also assist authors in enhancing the quality of their manuscripts.
Reviewers who feel unqualified to assess a submission or unable to complete their review promptly must notify the editor and withdraw from the process.
Reviewers must treat all manuscripts as confidential and must not share or discuss them with others unless authorized by the editor.
Reviews must be conducted objectively, with comments supported by evidence. Reviewers should avoid personal criticism of the author. They must also identify any relevant work that has not been cited and notify the editor of any overlap with previously published content.
Reviewers must not use privileged information for personal advantage. They should decline to review manuscripts where a conflict of interest exists due to competitive, collaborative, or personal relationships with any author or institution involved.
Authors must present an accurate and objective account of their research, including sufficient detail for others to replicate the work. Fraudulent or knowingly inaccurate statements are unethical and unacceptable.
Authors may be asked to provide raw data related to their research for editorial review. If practical, they should make such data publicly accessible and retain it for a reasonable period after publication.
Authors must ensure their work is original and appropriately cite or quote the work of others. Plagiarism in any form is unethical and unacceptable.
Authors must not submit the same manuscript to more than one journal simultaneously. Submitting the same research to multiple outlets is unethical publishing behavior.
Authors must acknowledge all sources that influenced their research. Authorship should be limited to individuals who have made significant contributions to the work. All co-authors must approve the final version of the manuscript and agree to its submission.
Authors must clearly identify any hazards associated with their research, as well as provide appropriate ethical approval for studies involving human or animal subjects.
All authors must disclose any financial or other conflicts of interest that could influence the interpretation of their research. All sources of financial support must be acknowledged.
If an author identifies a significant error in their published work, they must promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate to correct or retract the paper as necessary.
INSIGHT, as the publisher of IJASEIT, is committed to upholding the integrity of the academic record. We ensure that editorial decisions are not influenced by commercial interests and that any ethical concerns are addressed promptly. We support editors in investigating ethical issues and, if required, will facilitate the publication of corrections, clarifications, retractions, or apologies.
By adhering to these ethical guidelines, IJASEIT ensures that all parties involved in the publication process uphold the principles of transparency, fairness, and integrity, contributing to the advancement of knowledge across scientific disciplines.
