Open Access Policy

Introduction

Open access enhances the global dissemination of research, promotes scholarly equity, and accelerates innovation. The International Journal on Advanced Science, Engineering and Information Technology (IJASEIT) fully supports open-access publishing principles, providing unrestricted access to all published content in accordance with the Budapest Open Access Initiative (BOAI), the Creative Commons Attribution (CC BY) license, and the COPE Core Practices.

Description

Open access refers to the immediate, free availability of scholarly content online, permitting any user to read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, or link to the full texts of articles. IJASEIT does not impose subscription or paywall restrictions. All readers, regardless of location or institutional affiliation, can access and use published articles freely and permanently.

IJASEIT adopts the CC BY 4.0 license to maximize content reuse, provided that appropriate credit is given to the original authors and source.

Policy

1. Access to Content

  • All articles published in IJASEIT are freely accessible from the moment of publication.

  • Users can access, download, copy, and redistribute IJASEIT articles without permission, as long as proper citation is provided.

  • There are no embargoes, login requirements, or access fees for any content.

2. Licensing

  • IJASEIT applies the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0) to all published content.

  • This license permits:

    • Unrestricted use, distribution, and reproduction in any medium

    • Commercial and non-commercial reuse

    • Creation of derivative works

  • Users must give appropriate credit, provide a link to the license, and indicate if changes were made.

3. Copyright

  • Authors retain full copyright of their manuscripts.

  • By publishing in IJASEIT, authors grant the journal the right to distribute their work under the terms of the CC BY license.

  • Authors maintain control over the use and reuse of their work while facilitating open access to their findings.

4. Archiving and Repository Inclusion

  • Articles are archived in Portico and are indexed in the Keepers Registry to ensure long-term access.

  • Authors are allowed and encouraged to deposit the preprint, postprint, and published versions of their articles in repositories without embargo.

5. Compliance with Funder Mandates

  • This policy complies with the open-access requirements of major research funders, institutions, and governmental bodies.

  • IJASEIT supports Plan S, BOAI, and other global open-access declarations.

6. Sustainability

  • IJASEIT finances its open-access publishing operations through Article Processing Charges (APCs). These charges support peer review, editorial workflows, DOI assignment, archiving, and platform maintenance.

  • APC details are clearly disclosed on the journal’s website, and waivers may be available under specific conditions.

7. Policy Review

This Open Access Policy is reviewed periodically to remain aligned with evolving international standards, best practices, and open science initiatives.
